I-CHLAR 2007 review

The EHL / Indiana University Hospitality and Leisure Conference: Business Advances and Applied Research Conference.

The first Hospitality and Leisure Conference: Business Advances and Applied Research Conference, jointly organized by Lausanne Hospitality Research and Indiana University, Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies Departement , USA, was held on the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne campus in July 2007.

This international conference attracted approximately 80 participants from Europe, the United States and Asia. The second edition of this conference is to be held in 2009.

The aims of the conference are follows:

  • To provide a learning experience for both academia and professionals
  • To focus research presentations exclusively on applied outcomes
  • To bridge the gap between academia and industry
  • To orient reflection towards concrete actions
  • To provide a human-scale event facilitating close networking opportunities.
